Stack Magazines is a magazine subscription service popular among a dedicated but tightly-defined user base of independent magazine enthusiasts. Building on this key audience, Stack needed to expand their appeal and drive significant growth in revenue over the next three years.
Working alongside two London-based designer/developers Mike Guppy and Dan Powell, we helped to reposition Stack to appeal to a wider range of curious readers and reach beyond the indie magazine niche. Stack's new tagline, “Read better stuff,” reflects this bolder, broader invitation to readers.
We also helped the team to develop new approaches to their products, with themed bundles that appeal to intellectual omnivores - even if independent magazines weren’t their thing. Stack's first themed magazine bundle, a collection of 21st-century feminist titles in honour of International Women's Day, sold out within an hour.
